1. Static Friction

  • It prevents motion until enough force is applied.

2. Sliding Friction

  • The friction that occurs when an object is sliding over a surface.

  • Usually less than static friction.

3. Rolling Friction

  • The friction that acts when an object is rolling (like a wheel).

  • Least among all three types.

  • That’s why wheels make movement easier.
