Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the cancellation of courses, programs, and services offered through our online coaching and learning marketplace Studisaarthi. The Platform operates as a facilitator connecting independent tutors, instructors, and coaching centers (“Tutors”) with learners, parents, and institutions (“Students”). This policy is designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and clarity for all parties while maintaining the integrity of the Platform’s operations. By accessing or using the Platform, all users acknowledge and agree to be bound by this Cancellation Policy, along with the Platform’s Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, and other applicable policies.

2. Scope of the Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all cancellations related to educational products and services listed on the Platform, including but not limited to:
  • Online courses
  • Live classes or webinars
  • Recorded video lessons
  • Study materials and digital resources
  • Coaching programs and subscription-based offerings
  • This policy governs cancellation rights only and does not, by itself, define refund eligibility, which is addressed separately under the Refund Policy.

3. Role of the Platform

The Platform acts solely as a marketplace and facilitator. It does not create, own, deliver, or control the educational content offered by Tutors. Tutors are independent service providers responsible for their course design, delivery, schedules, and outcomes. Consequently, the Platform does not guarantee the continuity, quality, or results of any Tutor’s services and is not liable for Tutor-specific decisions, including cancellations.

4. Cancellation Rights – Tutors

Tutors registered on the Platform have the right to cancel or discontinue their listed courses, classes, or programs at any time, subject to compliance with Platform rules. Tutor-initiated cancellations may occur due to scheduling changes, personal reasons, technical limitations, or other operational factors. Tutors are expected to provide reasonable notice to affected Students whenever possible. Repeated or abrupt cancellations without valid justification may result in account review, reduced visibility, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform.

5. Cancellation Rights – Students

Students may cancel their enrollment in any course, class, or program at any time through the Platform’s designated cancellation mechanisms. Cancellation rights are provided to ensure flexibility; however, cancellation does not automatically guarantee a refund. Students are responsible for reviewing course descriptions, schedules, and eligibility terms before enrolling. Any consequences of cancellation, including loss of access or non-refundable charges, are governed by the applicable Refund Policy and the specific terms of the course.

6. Effect of Cancellation on Course Access

Upon successful cancellation:
  • Student access to course materials, live sessions, recordings, or assessments may be restricted, limited, or completely revoked.
  • Any certificates, progress records, or completion acknowledgments may be invalidated if minimum participation requirements are not met.
  • Tutors may lose access to course management tools related to the canceled offering.
  • The extent of access revocation depends on the stage of the course and the nature of the content already consumed.

7. Relationship Between Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation and refunds are governed by separate policies. While users may cancel at any time, refund eligibility is determined exclusively under the Refund Policy. Factors influencing refunds may include:
  • Duration of access already used
  • Number of live sessions attended
  • Nature of digital content accessed
  • Administrative or service fees
  • Users are strongly advised to review the Refund Policy before initiating a cancellation.

8. EMI & Installment-Based Cancellations

For payments made through EMI or installment plans facilitated by third-party payment providers:
  • Cancellation of a course does not automatically cancel the EMI agreement.
  • Students may be required to settle outstanding installments directly with the payment provider.
  • Any approved refunds may be processed according to the payment provider’s timelines and conditions.
  • The Platform does not control EMI terms and is not responsible for disputes between users and payment service providers.

9. Digital Content & Live Class Cancellations

Digital products such as recorded videos, downloadable materials, and pre-accessed content may be non-reversible once accessed. Live classes that have already commenced or been attended may also affect eligibility for continued access or refunds. Students acknowledge that immediate access to digital content constitutes usage, which may limit post-cancellation benefits.

10. Platform or Tutor-Initiated Cancellations

In certain circumstances, the Platform or a Tutor may initiate cancellation, including but not limited to:
  • Violation of Platform policies
  • Technical or operational issues
  • Misrepresentation or fraudulent activity
  • Safety, legal, or compliance concerns
  • In such cases, access may be suspended immediately. Any refund considerations, if applicable, will be handled in accordance with the Refund Policy and relevant payment terms.

11. Cancellation Request Process

Cancellations must be initiated through the Platform’s official interface, dashboard, or designated support channels. Verbal or informal requests may not be considered valid. Users are responsible for ensuring that cancellation requests are properly submitted and acknowledged. The Platform may require verification or additional information to process certain cancellation requests.

12. Consequences of Policy Misuse

Repeated misuse of cancellation rights, including excessive cancellations, fraudulent claims, or attempts to exploit Platform policies, may result in:
  • Account warnings
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent termination of access
  • The Platform reserves the right to take appropriate action to protect its ecosystem and users.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable principles, the Platform shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from cancellations, including loss of learning progress, opportunity costs, or third-party charges. The Platform’s role is limited to facilitating transactions and communications between Tutors and Students.

14. Policy Modifications

The Platform reserves the right to update or modify this Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will become effective upon publication on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

15. Governing Principles & Dispute Handling

This policy is governed by general principles of fairness and transparency. Any disputes related to cancellations should be raised through the Platform’s support mechanisms. The Platform may, at its discretion, facilitate communication between Tutors and Students but is not obligated to resolve disputes on behalf of either party.

16. Contact Information

For questions, clarifications, or assistance regarding cancellations, users may contact the Platform through its official support channels as provided on the website or application.
